North Shore Navigators News Release

Lynn, MA - The 2016 version of the North Shore Navigators will feature two catchers that will provide plenty of pop in the offense.

Former Lynn Classical star Kyle Devin will once again play for his hometown nine this summer. The left-handed hitting Devin has played all or part of the past three summers with the Navigators. The 6' 1" 230-pound redshirt sophomore looks to get his career back on track as a redshirt sophomore at Rhode Island. A four-year starter at Classical, he was a Rawlings pre-season All American as a senior and his .431 batting average earned him All State honors and a spot in the prestigious Area Code Games.

A redshirt sophomore at Mercyhurst North East, Drew Delsignore is the other half of the Navs catching tandem. The Youngstown, OH native set a school record with 58 hits as a freshman. The 5'10" 220-pounder brings plenty of power to the plate belting 10 home runs last spring. Those numbers earned him a place on the All Region Team.

The Lock Haven University Bald Eagles will also be represented at Fraser Field this summer as centerfielder Demetuis Haskins and right-handed pitcher Brett Morrison will land in the North Shore.

The fleet-footed Haskins will be counted on to patrol centerfield for the Navs. The 5'11" 170-pound freshman from Pittsburgh, PA may well the pitching staff's best friend running down balls in the cavernous Fraser Field outfield.

Morrison, a hard-throwing righty, was a two-way player as a freshman for the Bald Eagles. He will concentrate solely on pitching this spring, then continue on that path this summer for John Zizzo's Navigators. The 6' 2" 210-pound sophomore hails from Duncannon, PA.

Navigators baseball returns on Opening Night- Saturday, June 4th- complete with all of the fun and excitement that has become a staple at historic Fraser Field.
