North Shore Navigators News Release
Lynn, MA - The North Shore Navigators are pleased to announce the addition of two right handed pitchers from New York State Colleges.
Conor Bawiec from Elmira College has agreed to join the Navigators for the 2016 season. The 6'3" 205-pound sophomore spurned offers from larger schools so he could both play the field and pitch at Elmira. He'll concentrate solely on pitching, hoping to catch the eye of scouts this summer with the Navs. He was 2-3 for the Soaring Eagles in 2015 with a 3.70 ERA.
Jimmy McCarty from Oneonta State will also be joining the Navigators. He is slated to be the number 1 or 2 starter for the Big Red, who play in the always tough SUNYAC Conference. The 6'4" 220-pound sophomore made 8 starts as a freshman, going 0-5 but had an excellent 3.05 ERA.
Navigators baseball returns on Opening Night- Saturday, June 4th- complete with all of the fun and excitement that has become a staple at historic Fraser Field.
