Navigators' 2014 Futures Collegiate Baseball League Schedule Set

With the 2013 holiday season ready to begin the North Shore Navigators are pleased to announce their own version of the holidays with their 2014 schedule.

The team will open the 2014 season on the road with a trip to Martha's Vineyard to play the defending champion Martha's Vineyard Sharks on Wednesday, June 4th.

The home portion of the slate starts with Opening Weekend on Saturday, June 7th and Sunday, June 8th . The Navigators' first pitch on the brand-new state-of-the-art artificial turf infield is set for 7 PM on Saturday, June 7th vs the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. Opening Weekend continues on Sunday, June 8th as the Navs unveil their new Sunday starting time of 1:30 PM with their second matchup of the season vs. the defending champions from the Vineyard. All the fun and excitement that Navs Nation has come to expect will be on full power as the Navs Nine begin their quest for an FCBL Championship.

The 56-game schedule features 28 home and 28 road games to test the skills and endurance of Manager Jon Cahill's gang. With the final home game set for August 6th and a season-ending road game in Pittsfield on August 8th, there will be plenty of action-packed nights at historic Fraser in 2014. Four Tuesday games, 5 Wednesdays, 4 Thursdays, 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 4 Sundays make up the home portion of the 2014 docket.

Game time for Monday through Saturday home games is 7 PM and Sundays are something new as the Navs will throw the first pitch at 1:30. Exceptions are June 12th when the team plays a special 10:30 AM game to the delight of area school children for our School Field Trip Game and July 15th at 10:30 AM for the popular Park & Rec/Day Camp Game . The Navs will also play a holiday matinee on Friday, July 4th at 1:30.

The fantastic Wayne Alarm Fireworks Series returns with post-game fireworks following all 5 Friday home games. Fans will also continue to enjoy Old Neighborhood's delicious hot dogs for just $1 at all 28 home games. Parking is always free and tickets are priced with your family in mind at $6 for adults and $5 for kids and seniors most nights and $7 and $6 for Friday Fireworks!
