Springfield Sliders News Release
The Springfield Sliders are seeking qualified individuals to perform the National Anthem at Sliders' games this summer. Tryouts will be held this Saturday, May 26 beginning at 9 AM. Participants must be able to perform a cappella or with a musical instrument. Judging will not be on a ranked basis, but rather on a "yes" or "no" decision. Advance registration is recommended. This will avoid a long wait for your turn to perform. Judging will be done by representatives of the Sliders management and local guest judges.

The Springfield Sliders are members of the Prospect League, playing at historic Robin Roberts Stadium. The Sliders are members of the Western Division along with the Danville (IL) Dans, DuBois County (IN) Bombers, Hannibal (MO) Cavemen, Quincy (IL) Gems, and Terre Haute (IN) Rex. Opening day is May 29.
