National Anthem Competition at Rivier College

(Nashua, NH, April 13, 2006) - Nashua Pride team officials announced today that there will be a National Anthem competition at Sylvia Trottier Hall at Rivier College on Saturday, April 29th starting at 7:00 p.m.

Have you ever thought of singing in front of thousands of excited fans? Take a chance and sign up for the upcoming televised National Anthem competition. All interested contestants must register with Carolyn Choate, TV 13's program manager, by calling 603-883-7435. Official judges and Nashua Pride front office personnel will be on hand to oversee the proceedings during the competition.

There will be two divisions of anthem contestants. The first division is for adults who are 13 and older and the second division is for children 12 and under. Groups of individuals with 14 people or less are also eligible for the competition. The winning singers from each division will be invited to sing the National Anthem during the Pride's opening weekend of May 25th to May 28th. The winners will also receive additional prizes from the events' sponsors.

TV 13 covers a large geographical area of greater Nashua and southern New Hampshire with television broadcast and cable coverage and serves the surrounding suburban communities. The station's offices are located in Memorial Hall at Rivier College in Nashua, NH.

The Nashua Pride, entering their first year of play in the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball, play their home games at Historic Holman Stadium. Prior to joining the Can-Am League, the Pride played for eight seasons in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, winning the 2000 Atlantic League championship.
