From the Notes

Walk It Off: Last night's 3-2 walk-off win was the fourth of the season for the Sounds. They walked off in back-to-back games on April 15 and 16 against Omaha and on April 26 against New Orleans. The Sounds are now 3-1 in extra inning games this season, which is the highest winning percentage (.750) in the PCL among teams who have played in mulitple extra-inning games.

The Third Time's The Charm: Nashville has had two opportunities to sweep an opponent this season and have lost both games. On April 12 against the Iowa Cubs the Sounds had the chance to secure a three-game sweep but fell 6-3 in 11 innings. On May 7 the Sounds attempted to complete a four-game sweep of the Memphis Redbirds but lost 4-1. The last four-game sweep for the Sounds came in their final series of the 2017 season at New Orleans.

Milestone Watch: Sheldon Neuse is one hit away from number 200 in his career. He has already reached a pair of milestones in his brief professional career this season. He picked up his 100th RBI on May 12 at Memphis and scored his 100th run on May 15 at Memphis. Neuse is a career .278 (199-for-717) hitter with 101 runs, 40 doubles, 6 triples, 17 home runs, and 102 RBI.

They Finally Did It: Last night's game represented the Sounds' sixth attempt to get to three games over .500 this season. The first five times this year the Sounds had been two games over .500 they went on to lose their next game. For the majority of the campaign, the Sounds have been plus or minus two games of the .500 mark. Entering the 50th day of the season today, the Sounds have spent all but three days within two games of being .500. The only three days the team hasn't been that close to the mark was entering the April 10 game vs. Iowa at 1-4, entering the April 14 game against Omaha at 3-6, and tonight at 24-21.
