Nashville SC Players Enjoy Successful Weekend on Loan

June 18, 2018 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Nashville SC News Release

NASHVILLE - Five Nashville SC players out on loaned enjoyed successful weekends with new clubs. CJ Cochran started in net in his first two games with Fresno FC, while four young players got their first action with Inter Nashville FC on Saturday night.

CJ Cochran - Fresno FC

Cochran got starts for Fresno on both Wednesday and Sunday nights, going the distance in both game. On Wednesday, against a strong Sacramento Republic team, Cochran was named Fresno's "Man of the Match" with a strong five save performance despite a 1-0 loss.

Sunday night, Cochran earned his first win in net for Fresno as the Foxes ran rampant over Swope Park Rangers in a 4-1 victory. Cochran wasn't called on often, and made just two saves in the dominating win.

Fresno will be back in USL action on Saturday, June 23 on the road against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.

Jordan Dunstan, Michael DeGraffenreidt, Ramone Howell, Ian McGrath - Inter Nashville FC

The quartet of young players were all given their first starts of the season with Inter Nashville of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). The moved paid immediate dividends as Inter beat Asheville City 5-1 in Antioch, Tenn. to move up to third in the Southeast standings.

Ian McGrath scored two of the five goals, and Ramone Howell added another as the Nashville SC players led the way for Inter Nashville. Dunstan and DeGraffenreidt added a good defensive performance for the club holding Asheville to a single, meaningless goal.

Inter Nashville will be back in action for a quick rematch for Asheville in North Carolina on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.
