Nashville SC News Release
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nashville Soccer Cub announced today it has loaned 2020 Major League Soccer SuperDraft selection Tanner Dieterich to USL League One side Chattanooga Red Wolves for the remainder of the 2020 season. Nashville SC retains the right to recall Dieterich's loan.
"Player development is a key element in allowing our top young players to grow. Sending players out on loan is a great way to do so, and even more when it's in close proximity at a club like Chattanooga." said Nashville SC General Manager Mike Jacobs. "It is a concept we have used this year for our young players, and we're excited to continue that method to see positive results."
Nashville selected Dieterich with the No. 28 overall pick in 2020 MLS SuperDraft. The midfielder finished with 75 appearances and the captaincy for the Clemson Tigers which he first earned in his sophomore season. Prior to his collegiate career, Dieterich played a year of soccer at Father Ryan in Nashville, and represented the United States at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile.
