Nashville Kats to Hold Open Tryout at Rice Stadium in Houston

NASHVILLE- The Nashville Kats of the Arena Football League will hold a free agent tryout on Sunday, January 21st, 2007 at Rice University's Rice Stadium located at 6100 Main St. Houston, TX. 77005. Participants are advised to park in Lot 1.The session will begin with registration at 12:00 Noon and will go to 3:30 p.m.
Director of Player Personnel, Dean Cokinos will conduct the workouts. Head Coach Pat Sperduto will be on hand with his staff to evaluate players. There will also be representatives from other AFL and af2 teams in attendance at the workouts.
Tryout will consist of a 40-yard dash, short shuttle and individual drills. It will be conducted on field turf. A $50 pre-registration fee will be charged ($60 the day of) and a waiver release form will need to be signed during registration.
Pre-registration is highly recommended. Prospective players may visit www.katsonline.com and download the registration form or provide: name, height, weight, position, playing experience, telephone number and address, and mail a $50 check or money order to: NASHVILLE KATS, One Titans Way, Nashville, TN 37213 Attn: Dean Cokinos.

The Nashville Kats 2007 season of play is scheduled to kickoff March 1st versus the Columbus Destroyers at the Gaylord Entertainment Center.
Season tickets for the 2007 Nashville Kats season, which include eight games played at the Gaylord Entertainment Center, are now being accepted at 615-565-4700 or online at www.katsonline.com.

-- Checks will not be accepted on day of tryout - Cash ONLY ($60)
-- Checks must be received by Jan.18, 2007 for pre-registration
-- There are no hotel arrangements being provided
-- Registration will begin at 12:00 Noon sharp
-- There is no full contact and therefore no need for shoulder pads
-- No player film will be accepted on day of tryout
-- There are no refunds for missed tryout
