(Nashua, NH) The Nashua Pride completed a 6-2 homestand Sunday afternoon by dropping an 11-5 decision to the Atlantic City Surf at Historic Holman Stadium.

Two-run homers by Rayner Bautista and Jose Velazquez in the fifth inning and a three-run blast by Ozzie Timmons in the ninth were the key blows for the victorious Surf (28-29).

The two fifth inning home runs came off Nashua starter and loser Denny Harriger (6-4).

Atlantic City starter Anthony Chavez (4-2) went eight innings in the near-100 degree heat to post the victory.

Joe Kilburg hit a solo homer for Nashua (32-25) in the second inning, his third of the year. The Pride rallied for four runs in the ninth off Atlantic City reliever Greg Burke.

The Pride will open a pivotal three-game series Monday night in Bridgeport against the Bluefish. The Pride are scheduled to send Jose Mieses (RHP,3-4, 4.38) to the mound in a 7:05 game.
