Lafayette Aviators News Release
The Aviators and the West Virginia Miners spent the whole night back and forth in a nail-biter of a game. Both teams got on the board in the first inning and continuously scored throughout the game.
The Aviators took a 4-2 lead in the second, only to lose it in the third. They regained the lead in the fifth, and it was under a 3 run game ever since. Jordy Libman was a big reason the Aviators kept attacking, with 5 hits, 3 runs, and 3 RBI. Kevin Dobos and Jason Cryar had a big impact with 2 RBI each. By the end every Aviator had at least one hit on the night, showing how much this win was a team effort.
The Aviators took the lead again in the 8th and held on to it for the rest of the game. Lafayette defeated the Miners 12-9.
Lafayette plays the Miners again tomorrow night at 6:35 in West Virginia.
