Aviators Announce First Team Baseball Card Set

LAFAYETTE, INDIANA - June 28, 2023 - For the first time in team history, the Aviators will be offering player baseball cards for sale. The Aviators players will receive 25% of the proceeds from the card sales. The baseball cards are presented by Malibu Jack's.
"We are very excited to be offering what we believe to be the first Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) team-wide agreement in summer college baseball," said Aviators General Manager David Krakower. "The fact that our fans can now own cards of our players and our players can benefit financially is a win for all parties."
The NIL program for the Aviators is being administered by NOCAP, a leading NIL company for NCAA athletes. The Aviators cards will be on sale at the Loeb Stadium team store and via the Aviators website beginning Saturday, July 1.
"Trading cards are synonymous with baseball, and fans should be excited about accessing memorabilia for Prospect League players who could be the next collegiate stars and future Major Leaguers," said Prospect League Commissioner, David Brauer. "The college sports landscape continues to undergo rapid changes and it is exciting to see the Aviators take the lead in this NIL program. The Prospect League intends to advance a forward-thinking approach in providing its players with these opportunities."
As part of the Aviators agreement with NOCAP, each of the Aviators players will have an e- commerce website featuring autographed cards, with 25% of the proceeds from the sale of autographed cards to be retained by the player.
"With the Street Fest Saturday beginning at 2:00pm and then our Sunday Family Day, there are going to be ample opportunities for p layer autographs," stated Krakower.
HOME STAND PREVIEW
Saturday
- Aviators 3rd Annual Street Fest from 2pm - 6pm followed by the Aviators game vs. Normal at 7:00pm. The first 250 kids in attendance receive a FREE replica Blue Aviators Jersey.
Sunday
- Franciscan Family Sunday. Fans can receive 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 soft drinks for just $44. Stay after the game to run the bases and get autographs of your favorite players.
Monday
- Come celebrate America's Independence on our 7-6-5 night. Tickets are just $7. Domestic draft beer is just $6. And hamburgers/cheeseburgers are just $5.
