NAHL North American Hockey League

NAHL yearbook now available online

Frisco, Texas - For the first time in four seasons, the NAHL has created a Yearbook for fans, the media and scouts.

This is a yearbook with a very interesting twist -- it is free to all.

The 88 page, full-color 2005-06 NAHL Yearbook has been created as a .pdf file that can be downloaded from NAHL.com and printed out in hard-copy form.

The 2005-06 Yearbook features information on each NAHL team, plus a special history section containing NAHL standings, statistical leaders and award winners, in recognition of the league's 30th season.

"This is a ‘next-generation' style publication," said NAHL commissioner Michael Santos. "We feel that it reflects the new-era NAHL. At the same time, it is an invaluable resource for hockey fans who have clamored for historical information on our league. Much of this information has been unavailable for years and has never been compiled in one place. But now it is and we are pleased to present it to our fans as part of our 30th Anniversary celebration.

"We had an excellent group working on this project and the results reflect the effort and experience they brought to the job."

Production and design of the Yearbook was managed by Dan Diamond and Associates, who have annually performed the same function for the National Hockey League over the last 22 seasons in producing the NHL Guide and Record Book, which remains the best book of its kind in professional or amateur sports.

The editorial content of the Yearbook was developed by Stu Hackel, the NAHL director of information and communications, who was previously a senior editor of the NHL Guide and Record Book.

The senior writer of the Yearbook is Roman Uschak, who was formerly director of communications for the NAHL and has recently been working on special projects for the league.

Current plans call for the Yearbook to be revised later in the season with new photos and updated information, and to be re-posted on the website.

You can create a hard copy of the NAHL Yearbook by printing it out from your computer at your home or office. You can also email the .pdf file to an office supply store, and ask them to create a bound two-sided copy for you. You should ask the office supply store for the price prior to placing the order. Please note that black and white copies are less expensive than color copies.
