Nadeau Returns for Eighth Season in Quad Cities

Moline, IL-The Quad City Mallards announced today that center Patrick Nadeau has agreed to return for his eighth season in the Quad Cities beginning this fall. Nadeau begins the season with 397 games played in a Mallards uniform. He ranks second on the team's All-Time Games Played List just 41 appearances away from moving into the top position.
During the 2005-06 season, Nadeau established a new career high with 74 games played. The Vanier, Quebec native scored 20 goals with 26 assists for 46 points. The veteran center reached the 20-goal plateau for the fourth time in his Quad City career and for the first time since 2002-03. During the team's seven-game postseason run, Nadeau recorded eight points (two goals and six assists).
During his first seven seasons with the Mallards, Nadeau has scored 135 goals with 174 assists for 309 points. He ranks fourth in team history in each of the three major offensive categories. He trails former Mallard Steve Gibson by 16 goals for third on the team's All-Time Goal Scoring List. He needs 34 assists to tie Gibson's Quad City assist total. He is 50 points short of tying the point total that Gibson produced during his Quad City career.
"Patrick was outstanding last year," said Mallards President Tim Taylor. "He showed us and our fans that he has a lot of good hockey left in him. We also appreciate his contributions as a leader both in our locker room and in the community. "

Nadeau will join goaltender Jason Tapp and Defenseman Jami Yoder as instructors at the upcoming Mallards Roller Hockey Camp. The camp runs in two one-week segments beginning August 7th.
