
Mystics Sign Klara Lundquist

Washington, D.C. - Washington Mystics General Manager and Head Coach Mike Thibault announced today that the team has signed guard Klara Lundquist who was recently named Player of the Year in the Swedish League. Due to her National Team commitment, Lundquist playing status for the 2021 season is to be determined.
"Klara is a young point guard that has continued to improve. She had a terrific season and was the Player of the Year in the Swedish League. She will only continue to improve, and we hope she can be a part of our future in the years to come," said Thibault.
A 5'8" guard from Sweden, the 21-year-old Lundquist appeared in 30 games for Alvik Basket of the Swedish League during the 2020-21 season. She averaged 21.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game.
