Mystics open playoffs at MCI Center

Washington, D.C. – The Washington Mystics will host the first game of its playoff series versus the Connecticut Sun this Saturday, September 25th at Noon at MCI Center. The game will be nationally televised on Oxygen and locally broadcast by Sportstalk 1260. The team will travel to Connecticut for the second game in the best of three series. Game two will be held on Monday, September 27th at 7:00 p.m. and will be broadcast by NBATV. Game three, if necessary, will also take place in Connecticut on Wednesday, September 29th.

"We are excited to begin our post-season run at MCI Center in front of our loyal fans," said Senior Vice President of Business and Basketball Operations Judy Holland Burton.

Tickets for Saturday's playoff game are still available and can be purchased by visiting the MCI Center Box Office or calling TicketMaster PhoneCharge at (202) 397-SEAT.

The Mystics finished the 2004 regular season fourth overall in the Eastern Conference with a 17-17 record. This marks the third trip to the WNBA playoffs in the teams' seven year history. The Mystics also made post-season appearances in 2000 and 2002.

Holland Burton also announced the roster for the 2004 playoffs. The roster is as follows:
