Mystic Schooner to Host Team USA at Fitch Sr. High June 24, at 6:30 p.m.

June 23, 2011 - New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) - Mystic Schooners News Release

The Mystic Schooners who are 1 game out of first place in the Western Division of the NECBL after 3 straight road wins, will host the touring 2011 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Friday, June 24, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at Fitch Sr. High School.

The game will be the second home opener for the Schooners who played their first home game at Washington Park on June 15 against North Adams.

Mystic, 5-3, will have Waterford native Colin O'Keefe as their starting pitcher. O'Keefe recently completed his freshman year at Virginia Tech.

Parking will be free but there will be a $5 fee for admission to the game. See tickets options on our website www.mysticbaseball.org .

Batting practice is from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m with infield practice scheduled to begin at 5:30 and run until 6:00. Opening ceremonies including introduction of players from both teams will begin at 6:15 p.m.
