Tim Pledger and Keith "Boo" Richardson ran the show on court for the Mustangs and continued to spur the Mustangs defense on with great pressure on the basketball. The Mustangs went in up at the half 68-43.
The Mississippi Blues were not done though and as they've done all season the Blues came out with great energy and heart in the third quarter. At one time, a Daniel Price basket cut the Mustangs lead to 14 points. After a Mustangs timeout, rookies Brian Burrell and Currye Todd hit a three pointer each and the Mustangs moved their lead back to 20 points going into the 4th quarter.
