Mustangs Sign Three as Season Nears End

Milwaukee - The Milwaukee Mustangs are excited to announce three additions to the roster: defensive lineman Broderick Stewart, lineman Nick Torresso, and wide receiver/defensive back Jerron Ruffin.
Stewart (6'5, 240, Vanderbilt) returns to the Mustangs after being released on July 5th. He recorded 8.5 tackles, deflected two passes, and forced one fumble in 12 games this season.
Ruffin (6'0, 190, Idaho) signed with the Calgary Stampeders as an undrafted free agent in 2006 and spent parts of four seasons with the team as a defensive back. He recorded 61 tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one interception in his career with Calgary.
Torresso (6'2, 300, Bowling Green) played defensive tackle in his first three seasons with the Falcons before switching to the offensive line in his senior year and starting seven games. He recorded 38 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble on the defensive side of the ball during his career.
To make space on the roster, the Mustangs have placed a trio of players on Injured Reserve with season-ending injuries: wide receiver Antoine Burns, defensive lineman Luis Vasquez, and offensive lineman Albert Stinson.
Plagued by injures throughout the season, Burns dislocated his knee while returning a kickoff in the win against the New Orleans Voodoo last week. He totaled 44 receptions for 460 yards and six touchdowns this season. Vasquez recorded three sacks and 17.0 tackles in six games, while Stinson's season was cut short after just two games with Milwaukee.
