Milwaukee Mustangs News Release

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Mustangs announce the assignments of quarterback Blake Bolles (6'3, 201, Northwest Missouri State) and defensive back Darnell Burks (5'11, 185, Fort Valley State) to the 2012 roster. Among the recent additions are wide receivers Josue Paul (6'1, 220, Central Connecticut State) and Christopher Wellington (6'0, 205, Nevada).

Bolles attended the University of Missouri's pro day in March where he peaked the interest of the NFL's San Francisco 49ers. He also participated in try-outs with the UFL's Omaha Nighthawks and the CFL's Saskatchewan Rough Riders. This two-year starter out of NW Missouri State was awarded All-American and all-conference honors and holds the Bearcat's record for season completion percentage and completions in a game. Bolles was a finalist for the Harlon Hill Award, given to the Division II player of the year.

Darnell Burks originally signed with the New York Giants as a free agent in July 2011. This product of Fort Valley State was named to the preseason All-SIAC Conference second-team and defensive player of the week his senior year as a Wildcat.

Josue Paul signed as a free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs in July 2011 and was a standout during training camp. Paul was a preseason all-conference (2010) and second-team all-conference selection (2009) for the Blue Devils. He caught 103 passes with 10 touchdowns, returned 95 kickoffs with four touchdowns, and hauled in a 2-point conversion in the second overtime for Central Connecticut State's 49-48 win over Monmouth in 2010.

Wellington participated in Nevada's NFL pro day and was considered one of Nevada's players to watch (2011). He caught 42 passes for six touchdowns and returned 15 kicks/punts for an average of 20 yards his sophomore year at the University of Nevada.
