
Muskegon's Todd Robinson and Fort Wayne's St. Pierre earn monthly honors

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Friday that Muskegon Fury center Todd Robinson has been named Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Month and Fort Wayne Komets goaltender Kevin St. Pierre has been named Southern Sports Supply UHL Goaltender of the Month for January.
Robinson completed the month with 25 points (8g, 17a) and a plus-12 rating in 13 games played. He had multiple points in seven of the 13 games, including a five-point night on both January 14th (2g, 3a) vs. Kalamazoo and January 28th (2g, 3a) vs. Elmira. He netted the game-winning goal on January 13th vs. Chicago then scored the game-winner the following night vs. Kalamazoo. In the next game for the Fury, he scored the game deciding goal in the 2-1 shootout win vs. Rockford on January 19th. The 28-year-old native of Trail, British Columbia scored his third game-winning goal of the month and his league leading ninth game-winner on January 28th vs. Elmira. Robinson continues to lead the UHL in scoring with 91 points (31g, 60a) in 41 games played. He also currently ranks second in the league with a plus-41 rating. It is the third monthly honor for Robinson this season.
Other players nominated for the Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Month include: Bloomington forward Mike Zbriger, Chicago center Matt Amado, Elmira right wing Frank Littlejohn, Flint center Terry Marchant, Fort Wayne center J.C. Ruid, Kalamazoo center Kory Karlander, Port Huron center Greg Bullock, Quad City Mallards forward Luke Stauffacher, and Rockford center Preston Mizzi.
St. Pierre finished the month with an 8-2-1 record, a 2.07 goals against average (GAA), a .932 save percentage (SPCT), and two shutouts. He opened the month making 35 saves and earning the shutout in a 1-0 win vs. Elmira on January 3rd. His second shutout of the New Year came on January 26th when he stopped all 25 shots in the 3-0 win vs. Chicago. St. Pierre currently leads all UHL goaltenders this season with four shutouts. He is the league all-time leader in shutouts as he extended his record to 25 shutouts in his UHL career. He finished the month on a five-game winning streak and was unbeaten in regulation over his last seven games (6-0-1) of the month. The 31-year-old native of Sherbrooke, Quebec currently leads all UHL goaltenders in minutes played (2247:23). He ranks second in both GAA (2.22) and SPCT (.927). He has a 25-11-2 season record and ranks third in the league with 1,057 saves.
