Sioux Falls Storm News Release
Sioux Falls, SD - The Storm is excited to announce the re-signing of a key offensive weapon Martevious Young.
Young (6'2" 190lbs) was the 2013 starting quarterback for the Storm until sidelined with a torn MCL weeks into the season. Young's speed and athleticism helped lead the Storm to their seventh IFL Championship. In seven games, Young threw for 455 yards and 7 touchdowns, while running for 175 yards and 13 touchdowns. During the 2014 season Young tallied 700 yards with 11 total TDs; 271 rushing yards with 4 TDs, 206 receiving yards with 2 TDs, 223 passing yards with 5 TDs.
The University of Southern Mississippi quarterback will be challenged with the job of replacing legendary quarterback, Chris Dixon.
"To have a veteran QB that is familiar with our system and our expectations is huge," stated Storm Head Coach, Kurtiss Riggs. "Tay brings all the qualities we expect in our athletes and takes them to a new level. Aside from his tremendous work ethic and dedication he is a great person and great role model."
