CHANDLER, AZ - Two members of the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs front office were recognized Saturday night as the Central Hockey League's 15th annual Summer Conference concluded with an awards banquet honoring achievements from the 2009-10 season. Mudbugs play-by-play "voice" Travis Huntington was named CHL Broadcaster of the Year and owners Tommy & Leslie Scott were nominated for the league's Ralph Backs trom Soul of Service award.

Huntington, 27, wins the Broadcaster of the Year nod following his third season on the Bossier-Shreveport airwaves. The Platteville, Colorado native was also nominated for the award in each of the past two seasons and voted among the league's three best broadcasters in the CHL's annual "Best of the Best" Poll this year.

"I'm extremely honored to receive this award out of a very talented pool of CHL broadcasters," Huntington said. "I want to thank all of our great fans for listening and continuing to support Mudbugs hockey. My gratitude also goes out to the league office, our owners Tommy & Leslie, Coach Muscutt, my co-workers, and everyone who has helped give me a chance to succeed in my broadcasting career."

The Scotts were nominated for the CHL's Ralph Backstrom Soul of Service award in just their first year of ownership after purchasing the club in July 2009. The honor is presented to the CHL executive who has best demonstrated excellence and dedication to providing outstanding customer service.

"Leslie and I were surprised and honored to be considered for this award," said Tommy Scott. "We love being involved with hockey in Bossier-Shreveport, and we will strive to continue making Mudbugs hockey better for this community and for the Central Hockey League. We want to say 'thank you' to all the fans, partners, players and staff members for being as committed to this team as we are."
