Mudbugs Host Allen Tomorrow and Friday at the CTC

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Join the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs for two more entertaining nights of hockey this week at the CenturyTel Center as the Allen Americans come to town for back-to-back games starting tomorrow. Thursday is "School Spirit Night" and Friday we're teaming up with the American Cancer Society to "Light the Night" for the second year in a row.
The puck drops at 6:35 pm tomorrow as the Mudbugs and Americans meet for the first time this season on "School Spirit Night" presented by the Shreveport Times. We're inviting students, faculty, parents and alumni from local schools at all levels to get involved in the fun. Wear your school colors and let us see you getting loud and proud for the chance to win great prizes for yourself and your school!
All students can register to win a Mudbugs party with players joining you and your friends, while the school at each level that shows the most spirit will win a $500 grant and a special day with the Mudbugs. We'll also be hosting a "Battle of the Bands" during intermission, with the winning band getting their own group night later in the season.
Friday's game starts at 7:05 pm as we team up with the American Cancer Society for "Light the Night", a special pregame ceremony to highlight how all of us can make a difference in the fight against cancer. The first 3,000 fans through the doors will get a free keychain flashlight courtesy of Friday's presenting sponsor, AEP SWEPCO.
Your ticket purchase will help the cause as $1.00 of every ticket sold will be donated to the American Cancer Society. ACS will also have a special information booth set up on the concourse with "Fight Dat" t-shirts for sale to raise additional funds as the 'Bugs battle the defending Southern Conference Champions for their second straight night.
