Worcester Bravehearts News Release
Worcester, MA - With one out in the top of the third inning, the Bravehearts and the Suns match-up has been suspended. The score is 2-2.
The game will resume Sunday afternoon when Pittsfield is scheduled to return to Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field. The rest of the nine inning game will be completed prior to the originally scheduled 4:05 first pitch.
Rain started to fall right around the time the first pitch was thrown, but the raindrops did not stall the bats. The Suns immediately scored two runs in the top of the first inning. The Bravehearts answered with two in the home half of the inning, highlighted by a Ben Rice RBI-single.
In the meantime, Worcester wraps up its four-game home stand tomorrow against Brockton. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30.
