
Moreland Named Player of the Week

Fargo (ND) Fargo-Moorhead Jets' forward Matt Moreland (Grand Forks, ND) recorded four-goals and an assist in two games last weekend and for his efforts, has been named the North American Hockey League's Central Division player of the week.
Moreland scored a goal and had an assist in the FM Jets' 4-3 win on the road against the North Iowa Outlaws on Oct. 20. The following night, Moreland netted his first career hat trick to lead the FM Jets to a 5-3 win at North Iowa.
Since returning to the FM Jets in time for the Oct. 13th game, Moreland has recorded at least one goal in each of the four games he has played. This includes scoring an overtime winner, and the first goal in three of the games. He has 8 points (6 goals) in the four games.
The FM Jets are first place in the Central Division at 9-4-0 and return home for a two-game series on Friday and Saturday against the Southern Minnesota Express at the Carlson Coliseum. Game time Friday is 7:35pm with a 7:05pm opening face-off set for Saturday.
