Rochester Knighthawks News Release
The Rochester Knighthawks are bringing back cowbells Saturday for the National Lacrosse League Playoffs. The first 2,000 fans wearing Knighthawks gear will receive a cowbell prior to Game Two of the East Division Finals. Rochester will host the Buffalo Bandits at 7:30 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena.
With a win Saturday, Rochester will force a 10-minute tiebreaker game, which will be played immediately following the conclusion of Game Two to determine the winner of the playoff series. The winner of the two-game series will advance to the 2014 Champion's Cup Finals.
The Knighthawks first handed out cowbells during the 2012 playoffs. Rochester earned postseason home victories over Philadelphia and Edmonton, and a road win in Toronto, en route to the franchise's third Champion's Cup. The Knighthawks are encouraging fans to bring their cowbells from 2012 to intensify the atmosphere.
"We have one of the most enthusiastic crowds in the league and now you throw cowbells into the mix," said Knighthawks defenseman Mike Kirk. "It should be a tough building to play in (for the visitors)."
Knighthawks Playoff Tickets are currently on sale at ticketmaster.com. Individual playoff tickets range in price from $17 to $22 prior to the day of the game. Game day tickets are $25 and $30. For more information on playoff pricing, please call (585) 454-4295.
