
Morays schedule tryouts for 2005 season

Miami Morays News Release
The Miami Morays, the newest professional indoor football team in the National Indoor Football League, is pleased to announce an open try-out on Dec. 18th to find the best talent to fill our roster and bring a championship to the city of Miami.
Team owner Oronde Gadsden, Head Coach Larry Little, and team staff will be on-hand to evaluate and select those players who best display the talent, drive and determination required.
Players are highly encouraged to pre-register with the Morays at a cost of $50, cash or money order only. Registration costs after Dec 16th will increase to $60. All forms can be downloaded from the Morays website at www.miamimoraysfootball.com or by calling the Morays office. Completed forms can be sent to "Moray Coach" at Miami Arena, 701 Arena Blvd. Miami, FL 33136.
Players are requested to enter the Miami Arena through the north entrance and to arrive in running shoes and athletic clothing for the combine style work-out. All other equipment will be provided as needed.
Skill positions and linemen will take part in the 40-yard dash, a four square cone drill, a 10-yard shuttle drill, and one-on-one drills.
The tentative schedule for the try-outs is as follows:
8AM: Registration begins
9AM: Offensive and Defensive Linemen
10AM: Linebackers, Running Backs, Kickers
11AM: Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers, Cornerbacks
In the event of a high number of early registrations, the try-out schedule is subject to change with the addition of Sunday, Dec. 19th. All changes will be updated and posted on the team website.
The 22 team National Indoor Football League is entering its fifth season, and this is the first season for the four Florida based teams. The Morays will play a 14 game schedule with seven home games in the Miami Arena.
The purpose of the NIFL is to provide developmental opportunities for aspiring athletes who want to continue their career in professional football.
