Moose Yearling Foundation announces sixth annual Flatlander's Beer Festival

The Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation and the Manitoba Liquor Marts are pleased to announce the sixth annual Flatlander's Beer Festival will be held September 17th-19th, 2008 at the MTS Centre and the Winnipeg Convention Centre.

This unique public tasting event will focus on a wide range of incredible beers from some of the finest breweries in the world. It will also educate beer drinkers about these unique products. Last year, over 1,600 people took in the festival at the public tastings.

Public Beer Tastings

Thursday, September 18th & Friday, September 19th, 2008

Winnipeg Convention Centre (Second level)

7:00-10:00 p.m.

Tickets: $27.95/person (includes five free sample tickets).

Additional sample tickets are available for purchase at the event at five for $3.00.

The Public Beer Tastings will give the general public the opportunity to visit at least 30 booths with over 115 beers from 28 countries featured. The $27.95 general admission fee includes five free sample tickets, which attendees will receive at the event. Additional sample tickets are five for $3.00 and can be purchased onsite at the public tastings.

6:00 p.m. Cocktails, 7:00 p.m. Dinner

This unique and memorable evening will be the ultimate food and beer experience. Each course is paired with a premium beer specifically chosen to provide the perfect complement to each dish. Guiding you through the many styles of beer included in this five-course gourmet dinner is leading beer expert Paul Brack, from Labatt Breweries of Canada. Each beer will be served in its own proper branded glassware and a rainbow auction will also be featured. Tickets to this exclusive event will be limited to approximately 140 people.
