The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, are pleased to announce equipment manager Corey Osmak has been hired by the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings as their Co-Equipment Manager.

Osmak will be working with former Vancouver Canucks' Assistant Equipment Manager Darren Granger who spent the past season as a volunteer equipment assistant with Osmak and the Manitoba Moose. Granger was recently hired as the Kings' Equipment Manager.

Osmak just completed his fifth season as Moose Equipment Manager. Before joining the Moose, he spent three seasons as the head Equipment Manager with the Western Hockey League's Regina Pats, where he was considered one of the top equipment managers in all of Canadian junior hockey. The Edmonton, AB native holds a Bachelor of Physical Education (with an athletic therapy major) from the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD).

"We are very happy for Corey and the opportunity that lies in front of him," said Craig Heisinger, Senior Vice-President & General Manager of the Manitoba Moose. "We have always maintained that one of our mandates as an organization is to develop talent for the National Hockey League. Corey continues that tradition in the same vein as players like Nolan Baumgartner and Alexandre Burrows, or coaches like Alain Vigneault and Randy Carlyle."
