Round Rock, TX – The Houston Astros have announced that Jackie Moore will return to manage the Round Rock Express for the 2005 season. The announcement was made today by Astros' Assistant General Manager Tim Purpura.

Moore has been the only manager in the Express' five year history and he will continue to manage the Express as they join the Triple-A Pacific Coast League in 2005. Jackie has managed the Double-A Express to four playoff appearances, two Western Division Championships, a Texas League Championship in 2000, and he was named the league's "Manager of the Year" in 2000, 2001 and 2004.

During his five seasons as manager of the Express, Moore has been selected to manage several All-Star teams, including the 2001 "Futures Game" which was held in conjunction with the Major League All-Star Game in Seattle that year. Moore also was selected this past year to serve as a coach for the "Futures Game" in Houston.

"We are all very excited to know that Jackie Moore will return to manage the Express next season. Jackie is a great baseball man and our fans really have embraced him over the past five seasons" says Express Vice President and General Manager Jay Miller.

The Houston Astros also announced that former major league outfielder Dave Clark will manage the Corpus Christi Hooks during the club's inaugural season in 2005.

Clark distinguished himself as a manager this past season when he led the Hickory (N.C.) Crawdads to the South Atlantic League Championship. The Class-A affiliate of the Pirates, the Crawdads were 85-55 under Clark's guidance. Hickory captured the North Division second-half crown with a record of 46-24.
