Houston Dynamo FC News Release

The Houston Dynamo were defeated 4-2 by the Montreal Impact at Saputo Stadium in the first-ever regular season meeting between the clubs on Saturday. Brad Davis and Will Bruin each scored an equalizer in the first half before Impact defender Hassoun Camara scored the game-winner off a Montreal corner kick.

The Dynamo are now 5-5-5 through 15 games and remain in fifth place in the Eastern Conference.

It is the first time Houston has allowed four goals in a game since Sept. 22, 2010, a 4-3 defeat at Kansas City.

The Impact grabbed a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute when Sanna Nyassi slipped in behind the defense and received a pass from Felipe Martins before sneaking a shot past Dynamo goalkeeper Tally Hall for a 1-0 lead.

Davis offered a spectacular equalizer in the 16th minute. The all-star took a free kick from 25 yards and curled it over the wall and into the side of the net after Montreal goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts could only get a hand on the shot. It was Davis' third goal of the season.

Bruin increased his season goal total to nine with an opportunistic goal moments before halftime. Brian Ching ran into space in the center of the field before appearing to target Je-Vaughn Watson with a ball in behind the Impact defense. The pass was too far for Watson, but Bruin, hustling from a deeper position, beat Ricketts to it before firing past the goalkeeper to pull even, 2-2.

Bruin's nine goals are the most for a Dynamo player since Ching scored 13 in 2008. It was also Bruin's 13th career goal in all competitions, moving him into a tie for fifth on the Dynamo all-time scoring list with Geoff Cameron.

Bruin moved into a tie for third place with Thierry Henry in the MLS scoring race.

It was Ching's 19th MLS regular season assist with Dynamo. He is now tied with Brian Mullan for second on the franchise assist list.

After the break, Montreal grabbed the momentum again off a corner kick in the 60th minute. Felipe's corner was flicked on by Davy Arnaud toward the back part of the six-yard box where Camara volleyed it into the net for a 3-2 lead.

Seven minutes later Impact midfielder Patrice Bernier converted a penalty kick for an insurance goal.

Adam Moffat was issued a red card for a challenge on Felipe in the 73rd minute. It was the first red card issued to a Dynamo player this season.

It was Dynamo midfielder Colin Clark's 125th career MLS game.

The Dynamo return to the pitch on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. CT to host the Philadelphia Union (3-2-8) at BBVA Compass Stadium.

Next Home Match: Saturday, June 30, 7:30 p.m. - Houston Dynamo vs. Philadelphia Union, BBVA Compass Stadium, Houston.
