MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact (2-4-1; 7 points) settled for a 0-0 draw against the Vancouver Whitecaps (3-1-1; 10 points), Monday, during the inaugural home opener at Saputo Stadium, the 15th in Impact history. More than 8,000 spectators assisted to the sold out game under pouring rain.
NOTES: - Impact goalkeeper Matt Jordan stopped eight shots, registering his second shutout of the season. - The Impact shut out the opponent for a 12th home opener. - The Montreal Impact will play its first CONCACAF Champions League qualifier, Tuesday May 27, against the Toronto FC, at Saputo Stadium.
