vs. Fairbanks Ice Dogs ¬" Big Dipper Ice Arena ¬" Fairbanks, Alaska
Tuesday, 3/8/2011:Tuesday ¬â¢s game ended with a final score of 4-1 leaving the Ice Dogs victorious over the Monsters.
Wednesday, 3/9/2011: The Monsters fell short again to the Ice Dogs Wednesday with a final score of 5-2.
vs. Alaska Avalanche ¬" Palmer Ice Center ¬" Palmer, Alaska
Friday, 3/11/2011:The Monsters struggled to find the back of the net Friday as the Avalanche defeated them by a score of 11-1.
Saturday, 3/12/2011:The Monsters defeated Alaska in an overtime thriller by a final score of 2-1. Goaltender Tom Conlin stopped 47 of 48 shots on goal to earn the Monsters the victory.
NAHL PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
DEREK SUTLIFFE: Sutliffe scored a goal on Tuesday against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs and was awarded third star of the game honors. On Saturday Sutliffe tallied a short-handed goal against the Avalanche in a 2-1 overtime victory.
WILLIE HESS: Hess had one goal and one assist on Wednesday against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. He was awarded third star of the game honors.
D.J. CARNLEY: Saturday proved a successful game for Carnley, who scored the game-winning goal in overtime against the Alaska Avalanche.
