
Moncton Wildcats Prepare for Important Week

With a month remaining in the regular season the Moncton Wildcats are preparing for a week that could very well determine where they finish in the standings and who their first round opponent will be. The Wildcats who currently sit in 10th place one point behind the Victoriaville Tigres will try to improve on their 12-1-2-3 home record as they are set to play three games at home this weekend.
Thursday night 9th place will be on the line as the Wildcats host the Tigres (29-23-1-3) at the Coliseum game time is set for 7pm. The two teams have split the season series so far with the Wildcats winning 6-3 at home and the Tigres winning 4-2 in their barn. The game sponsor for Thursday night is Coast Tire and there will be $1300 of Coast Tire prizes to be won. Also, Thursday be sure to purchase your programs for a chance to participate in the XL 96 Chuck-A-Puck during the 2nd intermission. Thursday Noemie Auffrey-Jones will be the last contestant of the DocBraces National Anthem Singer Contest and we will be highlight the 2005-2006 President Cup Championship team as well as unveiling the #6 all time fan favorite
Friday night the Wildcats will entertain the Shawinigan Cataractes (35-16-2-1) at 7:30pm at the Coliseum. The Wildcats have won the only meeting between these two teams back in November. Friday night WestJet is the game sponsor and one lucky fan will walk away with a trip for two to anywhere in Canada compliments of WestJet. Also, we will be highlighting the 2006-2007 Moncton Wildcat team and unveiling the #5 fan favorite.
Sunday afternoon the Cats face Val-D'Or 4pm at the Coliseum. Sunday's game marks the completion of this year's Reading is Wild program and all participating students have been invited to the game to celebrate their accomplishments. Get your program Sunday's for a chance to participate in the XL 96 Chuck-a-Puck as well as a chance to win pizza for a year compliments of Pizza Delight. We will be unveiling the #4 fan favorite and highlight the 2007-2008 team.

Reminder to come to Boston Pizza tonight to cheer on Scott Trask and fan Brandon Campbell as they compete against Danick Gauthier and a fan from Saint John in the EA Sports NHL 11 Video Game Challenge. Eight Rivalry Cup points will be on the line, the fun gets underway at 6pm and fans wearing Wildcat gear will have the chance to win prizes from the Wildcats, Molson and Boston Pizza.
