Monarchs Sign Whitney Boddie To Third Seven-Day Contract

SACRAMENTO, CALIF., Aug. 21, 2009 - The Sacramento Monarchs announced today the organization has signed guard Whitney Boddie to a third seven-day contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
On Aug. 14, the Monarchs signed Boddie to a second seven-day contact, which ended on Aug. 20, 2009. Boddie, the Monarchs second round (20th overall) 2009 WNBA Draft pick, played in both Monarchs preseason games and averaged 21.0 minutes, 2.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game. She signed her first seven-day contact on Aug. 7, which expired on Aug. 13 and was previously waived on June 4 of this year, prior to the start of the Monarchs 2009 regular season.
