Nashville SC News Release

ST. PETERSBURG - Nashville SC midfielder Lebo Moloto's first half rebound goal on Saturday night earned him the fan's vote for Budweiser Man of the Match in Nashville SC's 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rowdies. It was the fourth goal of the season for the South African number 10 in league play to go along with nine assists in 2019.

Moloto's goal gave Nashville the lead in the 44' minute and came from a Cameron Lancaster free kick. Lancaster, just outside the top off the box, fired low under the jumping Tampa wall and forced a diving save from Rowdies keeper John McCarthy. Before McCarthy had time to react, Moloto snuck in from the right side and blasted home the rebound to give Nashville the lead.

It was the 14th start in the last 15 Nashville SC matches for Moloto who has scored three goals and added seven assists in the 15 match stretch. Moloto continues to lead the team in both assists (9) and chances created (58). His nine assists are the most in the USL Championship Eastern Conference while his 58 passes leading to shots are tied for the fourth-most in the East.

Moloto and Nashville SC will be back in action for their penultimate road match of the 2019 regular season next Saturday, September 7 at Saint Louis FC. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
