
Modesto Mendez and Dairon Reyes Called up to Cuban National Team

Fort Lauderdale CF players Modesto Mendez and Dairon Reyes have been called up to the Cuban national team for its upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches.
The pair will depart from South Florida on Sunday, May 30 for the camp that will run from Monday, May 31 to Wednesday, June 9. Cuba will first take on the British Virgin Islands on Wednesday, June 2 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Next will be a matchup against St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Tuesday, June 8 in St. George's, Grenada.
Mendez, 23, has started in five of Fort Lauderdale's seven matches thus far in 2021, compiling 450 minutes of play at center back.
Reyes, 17, has made three appearances this season, all off the bench. The forward is an Inter Miami CF Academy registered player featuring at the USL League One level with Fort Lauderdale CF.
