MOBILE, Ala., Jan. 4, 2002 - The Mobile Revelers end a three-game series against North Charleston with a win, 90-73, after losing the first two on the road.
Mobile improves to 9-11, and North Charleston falls to 11-10 on the season.
Mobile went into the half leading North Charleston by 17 points, 46-29. The Revelers were on fire for the first half shooting 52.9 percent from the field and perfect from the line, while the North Charleston Lowgators shot 42.3 percent from the field and 66.7 from the line. The Revelers maintained a hefty lead throughout the night, allowing North Charleston to only get as close as 19 points late in the fourth quarter.
Six Reveler players shot double figures. Eugene Edgerson lead the pack with 15 points and only seven rebounds for the night. Ernest Brown and Rafer Alston shared 14 points. Isaac Fontaine finished with 13 points. Shea Seals and newly aquired forward Cedric Henderson, both coming off the bench, scored 12 points and 10 points.
For the Lowgators, Ime Udoka, off the bench, led the team with 16 points. Tobe Carberry finsihed with 14 points. Tierre Brown and Larry Reid, off the bench had 10 points apiece. The Revelers were able to hold Corey Benjamin to seven points after two consecutive 27-point games.
