August 15, 2006 - Major League Soccer (MLS) News Release

The New York Red Bulls and D.C. United play for the first time since the All-Star break, and it's a mouthwatering clash, as Bruce Arena returns to MLS to coach against the club he took to two MLS Cups, the same club which holds the best record in the league at the two-thirds mark of the campaign. He takes over a Red Bulls team that is riding a four-game unbeaten streak; in their last match, United saw their 14-game unbeaten run come to a stunning end. In the interim, each team has also gotten over their first hurdle in the U.S. Open Cup, while also taking on storied European opposition.
