A week ago, the league's newest rivalry kicked off in pulsating fashion, Houston Dynamo getting the better of in-state rival FC Dallas in a wild 4-3 victory at Robertson Stadium. Now the teams meet for the second time in their battle of an 18th-century Mountain Howitzer cannon, this time at Pizza Hut Park, and while Dynamo haven't played since, the Hoops have, moving to the top of the Western Conference and league's overall table with a 1-0 victory at midweek against the Los Angeles Galaxy.

The New England Revolution broke out of their early-season scoring woes in a big way last weekend, defeating the Los Angeles Galaxy 4-0 in a second rematch of last year's MLS Cup Final - scoring twice as many goals in the 90 minutes last Saturday as they had in their previous four matches this year. Chivas USA have played just once since April 15 and have been struggling to find the back of the net themselves, scoring just once over their last three games after hitting for three against Real Salt Lake to begin the campaign.

The New York Red Bulls return to action after a week off to play host to the sixth installment of the Chicago Fire road show. The Red Bulls have yet to win on the 2006 season - but they've lost only once, their fourth draw of the campaign coming two weeks ago when no goals were scored as they visited Chivas USA. The Fire are undefeated in their last four games as they play the sixth match in their nine-game road run to open the campaign while their new Bridgeview Stadium is completed, having followed an opening day loss with a victory and three draws.

A pair of teams that have started to put together better results come together for the second time this season, when the Colorado Rapids travel to Columbus to face the Crew. The Crew have lost just once in their last four games, winning a pair - both of those victories coming away from home. The Rapids have put together an exactly similar run, but both of their victories have come at home during a four-game home stand, which now ends as they face three consecutive matches on the road.

United return back home for their fifth match already this season at RFK Memorial Stadium when they take on the Kansas City Wizards in a clash of the top two teams in the Eastern Conference and a rematch of the MLS Cup Final of two years ago. United lost for the first time on the campaign a weekend ago at Colorado, and are now two points behind the Wizards in the division, Kansas City having also lost just once on the season.

The Los Angeles Galaxy return home to face Real Salt Lake for the second time in three weeks, with both teams coming to The Home Depot Center looking for a morale-boosting victory. When they last met, the Galaxy came away with a 3-2 victory to start a three-game road swing - one that ended with a pair of shutout losses. Real are still winless on the campaign, with just a single point from their six matches - and are winless since last August, an MLS-record span now of 18 games.
