MLS Issues Disciplinary Committee Decisions for Week 9

NEW YORK - The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended D.C. United forward Chris Rolfe for one game and issued an undisclosed fine for his serious foul play that endangered the safety of an opponent in the 46+ minute of their match against the Chicago Fire on April 30. Rolfe will serve the suspension during D.C.'s next MLS match on Sunday, May 8 against New York City FC.

In addition, Vancouver Whitecaps FC forward Kekuta Manneh has been suspended one game and issued an undisclosed fine for a serious foul play that endangered the safety of an opponent in the 68th minute of their match against New York City FC on April 30. Manneh will serve the suspension during Vancouver's next MLS match on Saturday, May 7 against the Portland Timbers.

Finally, the MLS Disciplinary Committee has found the LA Galaxy in violation of the mass confrontation policy following an incident in the 70th minute of their match against Sporting Kansas City on May 1. Galaxy defender Jelle van Damme and forward Giovani dos Santos were issued undisclosed fines for escalating the incident.
