MLS Issues Disciplinary Committee Decisions for Week 9

NEW YORK, NY (Wednesday, May 6, 2015) - New England Revolution and New York Red Bulls violated the Mass Confrontation Policy at the end of their match on May 2, 2015. The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined New England Revolution midfielder Jermaine Jones an undisclosed amount for violating the League's policy regarding hands to the head/face/neck of an opponent and for instigating/escalating the incident. Also fined an undisclosed amount are New York Red Bulls forward Anatole Abang for escalating the incident and New England Revolution goalkeepers coach Remi Roy for his involvement.

In addition, Vancouver Whitecaps FC was also found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy in the 29th minute of its match on May 2, 2015.
