NEW YORK - The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Real Salt Lake midfielder Everton Luiz in violation of the league's policy regarding hands to the face, head or neck of an opponent and has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 84th minute of Salt Lake's game against Seattle Sounders FC on Oct. 23. Additionally, the MLS Disciplinary Committee issued an undisclosed fine to Luiz for failure to leave the field in a timely and orderly manner after receiving his red card in the 84th minute on Oct. 23 against Seattle Sounders FC.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Seattle Sounders FC in violation of the mass confrontation policy in the 84th minute of their game against Real Salt Lake on Oct. 23. Seattle has violated the mass confrontation policy for a fourth time this season, and the organization and head coach Brian Schmetzer have been issued undisclosed fines.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Philadelphia Union forward Sergio Santos guilty of simulation/embellishment. Santos has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 41st minute of Philadelphia's match against Atlanta United on Oct. 24.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Atlanta United defender Franco Escobar guilty of simulation/embellishment. Escobar has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 54th minute of Atlanta's match against the Philadelphia Union on Oct. 24.
