MLS Disciplinary Committee Decisions Announced

NEW YORK (Friday, Nov. 16, 2018) - The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found New York City FC midfielder Valentin Castellanos guilty of simulation/embellishment in the 64th minute of NYCFC's match against Atlanta United on Nov. 11. Castellanos will be issued an undisclosed fine for his action.

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Atlanta United head coach Gerardo "Tata" Martino in violation of the league's policy regarding entering the field of play in the sixth minute of Atlanta's match against New York City FC on Nov. 11. Martino has been issued an undisclosed fine.

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Seattle Sounders FC defender Kelvin Leerdam in violation of the league's policy regarding entering the field of play during the 90+ minute of Seattle's match against the Portland Timbers on Nov. 8. Leerdam has been issued an undisclosed fine for his action.

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued an undisclosed fine and additional game suspension (two games total) to Houston Dynamo forward Ronaldo Peña for violent conduct during the 90+ minute of Houston's match against the LA Galaxy on Oct. 28. Peña, who initially received a red card for the incident, will serve his suspension during his first two matches of the 2019 season.
