CINCINNATI - Heather Mitts, three-time Olympic gold medalist, will be a guest sideline reporter for this week's USL Game of the Week, featuring FC Cincinnati at Louisville City FC.

The contest, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. this Sat., (Jun. 25) at Louisville Slugger Field, will be broadcast on ESPN3.

Mitts was present at Nippert Stadium this past Saturday for the Orange and Blue's match against Toronto FC II, posing for pictures with the winners of FCC's "Best Soccer Dad" essay contest prior to the start of the match.

A 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup participant and native of Cincinnati, Mitts' broadcast background includes stints with Fox Sports, serving as a reporter and analyst, and she most recently provided coverage on the FIFA Women's World Cup.

Mitts joins an ESPN3 coverage team that recently added longtime defender Cory Gibbs as an analyst. Gibbs enjoyed a playing career that spanned four different MLS teams, included 19 international appearances for the U.S. Men's National Team and an overseas career with FC St. Pauli and Charlton Athletic.

Louisville, currently the Eastern Conference leader with 31 points (9-1-4), hosts FC Cincinnati (8-2-3) in a highly-anticipated league matchup at Louisville Slugger Field. The second of three games in the River Cities Cup, Louisville opened the series with a 3-2 win at Nippert Stadium on Apr. 16. The series concludes July 23 at Nippert Stadium.

The USL and ESPN partnered this season to bring a new level of coverage to the league with 20 exclusive regular-season broadcast on ESPN3, as well as coverage of the 2016 USL Championship on an over-the-air ESPN network.
