
Missouri's Shane Owen Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (November 5, 2013) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Missouri Mavericks goaltender Shane Owen has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending November 3, 2013.

The Shanty Bay, Ontario native won both of his starts last week keeping his mark perfect on the young season at 4-0. Owen defeated the St. Charles Chill on Wednesday stopping 29 of 30 shots in a 6-1 victory. He then was in net for the Mavs home opener played in front of a record crowd of 5,850 where he stopped 31 shots in a 6-2 victory over Denver.
Owen is second in the CHL on the season with a 1.71 goals against average and his .942 save percentage is among the league leaders as well.
