Mississippi Miracles News Release
Greenville, MS Owner/Head Coach Andy Stoglin of the ABA Greenville, Mississippi professional basketball team and Mayor Heather McTeer Hudson of Greenville held a joint press conference on August 11th to announce that the team will play its home games in the fabulous Washington Convention Center.
According to Stoglin, "We have been overwhelmed with the response that the City administration including the Mayor's office, the community and the media have provided since we announced our intention of playing in Greenville. Our decision to play here was the right decision - and our fans will love seeing the fast-paced, exciting ABA brand of basketball at affordable prices in this wonderful facility. And of course, a special thanks to Mayor Hudson for her support."
Stoglin continued, "Now, we need to put a strong team together so we've scheduled four tryout camps...Aug 28 in Jackson, MS; Sep 4 in Greenville MS; Sep 11 in Memphis TN and Sep 18 in Biloxi MS. We're hoping that all of the great players Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama come to the tryouts so that we can show the world just how great our players are."
For more information about the camps, call Travis Gordon at 601-664-1879 or email napolen@suscom.net as soon as possible.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
