Mississauga Power News Release

(Mississauga, ON - ) The Mississauga Power are thrilled to announce a partnership with the Peel Police and the Toys for Tots Program on December 19th. Fans are encouraged to bring in a new and unwrapped toy for underprivileged youth this holiday season to help spread the cheer for those who may be more in need. The event will also feature various fundraising efforts. The Power will be facing off against the cross-town rival Brampton A's at 7pm at the Hershey Centre.

Any fan who brings a toy for Toys for Tots will receive entrance to the game for $5 instead of regular admission of $15. "Christmas is the most exciting time of year for many children out there" states the Power's marketing and media coordinator, Francis Chow, "it's a terrible thing for kids to wake up on Christmas morning with no toys, which is why we'd like to do our part in contributing to this great cause."

Cst. Amy Davidson of the Peel Regional Police explains, "*"*Collaborating with our community partners to bring a smile to the faces of the less fortunate is something Peel Regional Police are proud to do. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the Mississauga Power in the years to come and wish them success in their inaugural season.*"*

Fans who would like to support this cause can drop off unwrapped toys at the Hershey Box Office. For more information visit www.powerbasketball.ca or the Peel Police Toys for Tots page at: http://www.peelpolice.on.ca/en/newsevents/toysfortots.asp
