This weekend's MISL action will kick off in Mexico, as the Comets head south to Monterrey on Friday night. Kansas City will be only the second team to visit the Monterrey Arena, where 14,776 fans attended the Fury's home opener on Sunday, November 30.

Milwaukee Wave at Baltimore Blast
1st Mariner Arena, 7:35 p.m. ET
Baltimore will look to continue a five-game winning streak and maintain their dominance at home. The Blast is
5-1 this season at 1st Mariner Arena. Milwaukee last visited Baltimore on April 13, 2003, when 7,436 fans saw the Blast down the Wave 15-12 in Game Two of the 2003 MISL Championship Series.

San Diego Sockers at Cleveland Force
CSU Convocation Center, 3:05 p.m. CT
The Force will look to put a stop to a four-game losing streak when they host the Sockers. The last time these two met, Cleveland stunned San Diego at home with a 3-2 overtime victory on October 24.

Kansas City Comets at Dallas Sidekicks

The Comets end a long weekend with a stop over in Dallas. This will be the first meeting of the season between Kansas City and Dallas. (more)

Joe Reiniger finished with a goal and three assists for the Wave, and Michael King and Chris Morman both added two goals. Steve Butcher paced the Steamers with two scores.

Dino Delevski, Matt Tanzini, and Jamar Beasley all scored twice for Kansas City. Philadelphia avenged an 11-9 loss to Kansas City at home on November 15.

Notes: Baltimore held on to record a 10-7 win in a wild affair between these two Eastern Division rivals. The clubs combined for 12 goals and 43 shots in the first half alone. Cleveland pulled to within 8-6 at the end of three quarters, but Tarik Walker (2:06) and Scott Hileman (a throw into an empty net at 13:21) gave Baltimore a 10-6 lead before Lee Edgerton made it interesting with a goal at 13:37. The Blast defense held off Cleveland's late efforts, however. Danny Kelly (four points), Carlos Farias (three points), Denison Cabral (three points), and Tarik Walker (three points) all enjoyed fine nights for the Blast. Rookie Adauto Neto (three goals, four points) led the way for Cleveland, who fell to 0-3 against Eastern Division opponents this season.

Dallas held a narrow 2-1 lead at halftime, but rattled off five third-quarter scores to assume control of the game. Martin Nash and Ricardinho both recorded two assists for Dallas. Aaron Susi led the Steamers with a pair of assists as St. Louis lost their sixth straight game.

Nogueira finished with 15 saves on 17 shots; his counterpart in goal for the KiXX, Peter Pappas, saved 13 of 16 shots. Mark Ughy scored two of San Diego's goals (including the game-winner at 12:39 of the fourth), and Goran Vasic assisted on both of Philadelphia's scores.

Notes: After playing seven road games to start their first season, the Monterrey Fury opened the brand new Monterrey Arena with a memorable 5-4 overtime win against Dallas in front of 14,776 fans, the largest crowd of the 2003-04 MISL season. Dallas' Martin Dugas tied the game at 4-4 with a goal at 13:38 of the fourth, but Genoni Martinez notched the game-winner at 2:37 of overtime to give the Fury the win. Hector Mireles saved 24 shots in goal for Monterrey, and Sagu finished with 26 stops for the Sidekicks. Former Sidekick Antonio Sutton scored twice for the Fury.

The Blast has now won five straight contests and is tied with Philadelphia for first place in the Eastern Division. Danny Kelly scored five points and blocked three shots during the week, and was named the MISL Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Denison Cabral leads the club with 17 points, tied for third in the MISL. Cabral is also tied for second in the League with 11 goals. Carlos Farias is tied for ninth overall with 15 points, and second with 11 assists. Goalkeeper Scott Hileman, who went 5-0 in the month of November, ranks third in the MISL in both goals against average (4.18) and saves (100), and is fourth in save percentage (.752). The Blast will look to maintain a five-game home winning streak this Saturday, when the Milwaukee Wave visits 1st Mariner Arena. The game will mark the Wave's first visit to Baltimore since the Blast claimed Game Two of the 2003 MISL Championship Series last April.

Notes: Cleveland's losing streak reached four games with a 10-7 defeat at the hands of the Baltimore Blast last Friday at the CSU Convocation Center. Rookie Adauto Neto scored three goals and four points in the contest; he and Lee Edgerton are tied for the team lead with 13 points (tied for 11th in the MISL). Edgerton is also tied for fourth with 10 goals. Neto has recorded at least one goal in each of his first seven MISL games. Hector Marinaro is tied for the League lead with 21 blocks on the season. Marinaro has recorded at least one block in 13 straight games, and has scored at least one point in 62 of his last 64 games. Goalkeeper Jim Larkin is sixth in the MISL with a 5.03 goals against average. The Force completes a three-game homestand this Sunday against the San Diego Sockers; following that game, three of Cleveland's next four games are on the road.

Goran Vasic scored six points (three goals, three assists) in the two games; he continues to lead the MISL in both points (24) and assists (17), and was named the League's Offensive Player of the Month for November on Tuesday. Kevin Sloan is tied for third in the League with 17 points, and Joel Shanker is tied for 11th with 13 points. Defender Pat Morris, who has scored in eight straight games, is now fourth in the League with 19 blocks. Goalkeeper Peter Pappas is fourth in the MISL with a 4.73 goals against average and third in save percentage (.759), and leads the MISL in saves (145) and wins (seven). The KiXX have off this week, and return to action on Saturday, December 13, with a home game against the Milwaukee Wave.

The club fell to Baltimore at home on Wednesday by the score of 4-3, and lost in Milwaukee on Friday (7-3) and Dallas on Saturday (8-3). Overall the Steamers have now dropped six straight, and have been outscored 37-16 over that stretch. Steve Butcher continues to lead the team with 17 points, tied for third in the MISL. He is also tied for fourth with 10 goals. Goalkeeper Brett Phillips is fifth in the MISL in both saves (92) and save percentage (.730). St. Louis returns to the field on Saturday, December 13, at home against Monterrey. Following that game, the Steamers will play five of their next seven games on the road.

Goalkeeper Sagu saved 36 of 44 shots in the two games; he was named the MISL Goalkeeper of the Month on Tuesday after going 3-2 with a 3.01 goals against average and an .831 save percentage in November. Sagu currently leads the League in goals against average (3.46), minutes played (588), and save percentage (.800), and is second with 136 saves. David Doyle leads the team with 17 points, tied for third in the MISL. Rookie Shaun David tops the club with nine goals. Defender Kiley Couch, who blocked nine shots in Sunday's loss against the Fury, is now third in the League with 20 rejections. Beginning this Sunday when Kansas City comes to town, the Sidekicks will play five of their next seven games at Reunion Arena, where the team is 4-2 this season.

Notes: After seven consecutive road games to start the season, the Monterrey Fury opened their new home with resounding success on Sunday, defeating the Dallas Sidekicks 5-4 in overtime before 14,776 fans at Monterrey Arena. Genoni Martinez scored the game-winner in overtime; he was named the League's Defensive Player of the Month on Tuesday. Martinez is the highest-scoring defender in the MISL with 16 points (tied for seventh overall) and is also tied for the League lead in blocks with 21. Forward Marco Lopez is tied for 14th in the League with 12 points. Goalkeeper Hector Mireles saved 24 of 28 shots in Sunday's win. The Fury, 3-5 and tied for second in the Western Division, will now play eight of its next 12 games at Monterrey Arena.

Notes: Victor Nogueira saved 15 of 17 shots as the Sockers prevailed 3-2 over the Philadelphia KiXX on Saturday night at San Diego Sports Arena. Nogueira, who held Philadelphia scoreless for the first 56 minutes of the game, was named the MISL Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday. He is now second in the League in both goals against average (3.74) and save percentage (.769). The Sockers boast the best defense in the MISL, allowing only 3.8 goals per game. The team will play its next two games on the road (including this Sunday in Cleveland) before opening a three-game homestand on December 14.

LEAGUE NOTES

- In Cleveland's 10-7 loss to Baltimore on November 28, Force goalkeeper Otto Orf became the third player in indoor
soccer history to record 7,000 career saves. Orf joins Victor Nogueira and Jamie Swanner as the only keepers to
accomplish the feat.

- Baltimore's Lee Tschantret needs only one more point to become the 18th player in League history to score 800
career points.

- Milwaukee's Greg Howes has now played in 133 consecutive regular and post season games. Philadelphia's Pat
Morris has played in 75 straight contests.
